Warren Smith is Professor of Historical Theology, and Director of the Th.D. program at Duke University Divinity School. Over his 20+ years teaching at Duke, Dr. Smith has trained thousands of people in preparation for various forms of Christian ministry. He teaches Christian history from the apostles to the present, with a particular focus upon patristic theology. Dr. Smith holds a B.A. from Emory University and a M.Div., S.T.M., and Ph.D., from Yale University.

In addition to being a prolific author and teacher, he lives in Durham, NC with his wife, Kimberly Doughty who is an EC resource teacher, and their children Katherine and Thomas.
