Richard Cunningham lives in Austin, TX with his lovely bride Marshall where they are actively involved in the Austin Stone Community Church. The two of them both work in finance as Marshall is in the venture capital industry, and Richard works in the redemptive investing space with Faith Driven Investor. Faith Driven Investor and Faith Driven Entrepreneur are networks devoted to serving and equipping Christ-following entrepreneurs and investors across the globe. Richard specifically walks alongside founders and fund managers capitalizing their ventures. His work with Faith Driven has created in him a tremendous passion for the continent of Africa, and the exceptional opportunity at hand to see a continent flourish as its growing population comes of age.

Richard is drawn to the mission of Zoe Empowers because the organization so winsomely lives out the mandates of scripture of going directly to “the least of these.” Zoe’s work to equip vulnerable children and youth led families to overcome extreme poverty is deeply motivating while also right in line with the calling of a faith driven entrepreneur and investor to help businesses achieve self-sufficiency in both financial and eternal returns.

Prior to his work with Faith Driven, Richard worked for an Austin, TX based fund and asset manager, Dimensional Fund Advisors. Richard met his wife Marshall at Baylor University in Waco, TX where Richard earned both his MBA and undergraduate degrees in finance. While at Baylor, Richard was also an All-Conference and All-American performer on the baseball field as a four-year starter in center field for the Bears.
